If this is your first time visiting our studio, you will want to arrive early; we want to get to know you better. We will learn more about your goals and potential physical limitations. We will help you find the best classes to suit your needs.
The front door is always locked - Since the front door opens directly into our studio space, we use the back entrance. When you enter through the back, there is a foyer - this area is common space for the building.
Remove your shoes - We follow traditional Eastern yoga standards and there are no shoes in our studio. This helps us keep the space clean and free of toxic chemicals from the street. If you are uncomfortable with going barefoot, bring a pair of flip flops that you reserve for indoor activities.
Bring in valuables - While we encourage students to keep the studio free of clutter, we have space for you to store your valuables. Remember that the foyer is common space which is not secure so leave your coat and shoes but bring in anything of value.
Why is it so quiet? - Our studio is a tranquil space where we encourage mindfulness and individual inquiry. Many of our students come here to escape the every day chaos of life. Please help us keep noise levels low by turning off your cell phone and speaking in low tones.
That being said, this is a community! - We are serious and dedicated yogis who also like to have a lot of fun! At times, we crank up the music and have dance parties, we watch movies together, eat chocolate, hula hoop and jump around. Come join our tribe, stay awhile and enjoy a cup of chai tea. When we aren't practicing, we are enjoying the space together.
